The 2022 Research Forum will be a hybrid event. However, with travel restrictions easing, we encourage those speakers and ESIL members who are able to do so to join us in Glasgow in person — to meet with fellow ESIL members face-to-face and to enjoy the beautiful University campus.

To facilitate attendance, we are delighted to announce that registration for the event is free of charge. Registration includes catering during the event, so we will ask you to confirm attendance closer to the time.

Not everyone will be able to travel to Glasgow. Of course, as an ESIL member, you have the option of registering to participate virtually. As Research Fora aim to promote in-depth engagement with the work of early-career scholars, we will cap the number of online participants.

For details of travelling to Glasgow and accommodation suggestions, please visit relevant sections of this website. If you require a visa to travel to the United Kingdom, and need assistance with obtaining it, please email us at esilforum2022@glasgow.ac.uk

All those who would like to take part in the Research Forum are expected to be ESIL members. Please make sure you have paid your 2022 membership fee – or do so on the ESIL MEMBERSHIP PAGE. If you have any questions about your ESIL membership status, please contact the ESIL Secretariat.

Speakers whose abstracts have been selected will be expected to attend the Research Forum in Glasgow. They will be expected to bear the costs of their own travel and accommodation. If you require assistance with additional travel funding, please contact ESIL.
