Dr James Devaney
James is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow. His research interests are varied and include international courts and tribunals, state succession, and legal theory and reasoning.

Héloïse Guichardaz
Héloïse Guichardaz is a PhD researcher whose research focuses on the privileges and immunities of the United Nations. She is also a Research Assistant as well as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Public International Law). Her areas of interest include the United Nations and international organizations law. Héloïse is the main person in charge of the maintenance of the website, though she also assists in handling the email inbox and training the volunteers.

Pia Hüsch
Pia is a doctoral researcher at the University of Glasgow, focusing on the regulation of cyber operations in international law. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Pia teaches Public International Law and also works at the Glasgow Centre for International Law & Security. For the conference, Pia will assist with the events for Early Career Researchers as well as social media.

Dr Mohamad Janaby
Mohamad is a lecturer of Public International Law at the School of Law, University of Glasgow. As well as having research interests in central, fundamental areas of international law such as the use of force, international humanitarian law and human rights, Mohamad also has particular interests in fields at the cutting-edge of international law such as cyber security and technology.

Charles Ho Wang Mak
Charles Ho Wang Mak is a PhD Candidate in international law at the School of Law/GCILS, at the University of Glasgow. His research concentrates on sovereign debt restructuring. He is also a Graduate Teaching Assistant, teaches Commercial Law, Business Organisations, and Common Law System and Method.

Dr Saskia Millmann
Saskia is a Tutor for Public and International Law teaching mostly Constitutional Law and Public International Law. Her research interests include international humanitarian law, international organisations, rule of law, and legal history (especially in the area of legal reparations of Nazi crimes).

Professor Akbar Rasulov
Akbar is a Professor of international law and the Director of the Postgraduate Research programme in Law at the University of Glasgow. His main research interests lie in the fields of international economic law and international legal theory, with a particular interest in the history of international legal thought, the law of economic coercion, and North-South tensions.

Jessica Schechinger
Jessica is a PhD researcher in international law at the School of Law/GCILS, at the University of Glasgow. She is also a GTA and research assistant. Jessica has been an active ESIL member for some years now, and has been a co-convenor of the ESIL/SEDI Interest Group on the Law of the Sea since 2018.

Aleksandra Sobieraj
Aleks is the GCILS Administrator. She is a politics and international relations graduate, still interested in current affairs. She provides administrative support to the International Law and Security’s Research Group, plans and organises various events and activities for GCILS.

Professor Christian Tams
Christian is a Professor of international law at the University of Glasgow and the Director of the Glasgow Centre for International Law and Security (GCILS). He first joined the European Society of International Law in 2005 and has since regularly attended (and occasionally spoken at) at annual meetings and research fora. He was elected to the ESIL Board in 2020.

Joanna Wilson
Joanna is the Research and Teaching Associate in International Law, Conflict and Security at the School of Law, University of Glasgow. Her research interest covers different topics within the area of International Law, such as International Law and Security, International Humanitarian Law (Law of Armed Conflict), International Relations Theory, Peace and Conflict Studies and Rule of Law.
